ZIA welcomes new Chairman

May 2025

ZIA has welcomed new Chairman, Jeff Engle, to lead the association’s next chapter of growth and innovation. Jeff is currently the Senior Vice President of Commercial and Strategy at Tronox.

On his appointment, Jeff said:

“I am grateful to my fellow directors for their confidence in selecting me as Chairman of the ZIA. I am honoured to take on this role and to work alongside a highly experienced Board and dedicated Secretariat. Together, we will continue to advance our association’s mission of representing all those involved in the zircon, zirconia, and zirconium chemicals industries.

“Over the past eight years, ZIA has experienced remarkable growth, underpinned by ground-breaking initiatives from our dedicated committees, and of course, our renowned Annual Conference. This progress provides a strong platform to further expand our association's reach and impact.

“Looking ahead, we remain firmly guided by our Membership Values that underpin everything we do, including our commitment to sustainable practices, transparency, and integrity. These values will continue to shape efforts to grow our membership and continuously improve the value we provide to all stakeholders.

1. As a non-profit organisation, ZIA works on behalf of its members to develop and promote zircon, zirconia, and derivative substances by advocating the benefits of their widespread application in today's world.
